About this seminar
This seminar is intended to bring together those who work with children and young people with dyslexia in mainstream schools, to increase and widen our understanding of dyslexia and its effects. One of the most devastating effects of dyslexia is the damage to children's self-esteem and self-perception: by approaching teaching and learning with this understanding, we are better placed to meet their needs. There are some simple, non-time-consuming steps we can take to improve access to the curriculum and to achievement for children and young people with dyslexia: we explore these and suggest wasy to implement them in the classroom.

The benefits of attending
  • Fuller understanding of dyslexia and its effects.
  • Easy to implement ideas for effective support.
  • Reduced stress and frustration for children with dyslexia.
  • Improved achievements and self-esteem for children in your classes.
