This Seminar Will Be of Interest To
Teachers and managers of special needs provision in mainstream and special needs
About This Seminar
Mainstream schools are currently having to amend their provision to meet the needs of an increasingly complex range of pupils with SEN. In special schools the impact is a move towards meeting the needs of the most complex pupils, often in partnership with mainstream colleagues. The aim of this seminar is to explore these changes and identify strategies for effective provision in delegate's own schools.
The Benefits of Attending
- To further explore future trends
- To identify areas of concern or issues that delegate's schools might face
- To review current provision and identify strategies to address these concerns
- To achieve by the end of the day, a clear plan for developing provision in delegate's own schools
Presenter Ed Bartley
Ed was headteacher of an all age special school, leading the school through two highly successful OfSTED inspections against a background of significant change in the schools pupil population. Ed has also worked extensively within mainstream SEN settings. More recently Ed was seconded by his LEA to undertake research on inclusion, visiting LEAs and schools of good practice and compiling research findings that are contributing towards successful inclusion strategies. Ed is currently Chair of Governors in a mainstream school, which was recently judged by OfSTED to be 'outstanding' and is a member of a Schools Forum.
