Alison Hattersley
Arctium limited is a training and consultancy company with experience working in both the public and private sector. Alison their lead trainer has worked extensively within industry, which realise the importance of adopting effective methods of training and supporting their staff. She has most recently spent time within education, facilitating the process of change, development and sustainability. Alison has experience working with students, school staff, parents, governors and advisory teams, from one-to-one mentoring through to large group work.
Richard Rhodes
Richard was the Head of two large independent schools in Lancashire for twenty-two years. He became the first Head of an independent school in the North of England to launch the IB programme. This enabled him to acquire first hand knowledge of the IB and its implications for a school as well as bringing him into contact with IB schools in Europe. Since retirement he has lived in Cumbria where he serves as a Justice of the Peace and is Deputy Chair of the Cumbria Probation Board.
Sue Lewis
Sue has run a successful training company in the North West and taught in FE for the past 14 years. Her background is Hospitality and HR Management both in operations and training, and using these skills has delivered training in the wider world of education.
John Connor
John is an educational consultant, author and school inspector for OfSTED. He has been a faculty head in a large inner city comprehensive school and an LEA adviser. He has written textbooks for both French and Spanish. John has been an Examiner for GCSE and is an A2 Spanish Examiner. He is also an Assessor for the Advanced Skills Teacher and Excellent Teacher Scheme for the DfES and a Training Consultant for Asset Languages.
Andy Peet
Andy is currently working as an independent consultant supporting a number of schools and other organisations in developing leadership and learning. Prior to this he was Deputy Headteacher in a large and successful secondary school on Merseyside. He has extensive current experience of learning and teaching and leadership issues in the secondary sector. Currently he is working with schools in challenging circumstances in both Oldham and Salford as an interim Vice Principle at Djanogly City Academy. Andy is an accredited SIP.
Ed Bartley
Ed was Headteacher of an all age special school, leading the school through two very successful OfSTED inspections against a background of significant change in the schools pupil population. As Headteacher Ed co-ordinated the process of achieving many quality marks including Sports Mark Gold, Arts Mark Gold, the Basic Skills Quality Mark and Investors in People. More recently Ed has undertaken extensive research on inclusion, visiting schools and LEAs of good practice and compiling research findings which are contributing towards successful inclusion strategies. Ed is also the Chair of Governors in a mainstream school with successful links to special schools.
Carol Bushell
Carol is a former OfSTED inspector and Early Years Advisory Teacher. She has worked in various childcare settings since 1984 and has managed two nurseries. She now works as an Early Years Consultant and trainer. Carol has co-written the Early Years elements of Step in to Learning, a national programme originally managed by the Basic Skills Agency, and has developed the 'Cascading an effective planning model for the under 3s' for Essex Early Years Development and Childcare Partnership. This is currently being piloted by Carol as a 'Birth to Three DIY training programme' for Halton. She has also become an assessor for the Early Years Professional Status award, being involved in the pilot stage.
