About this event
The quality and nutritional value of meals served in schools has always been a key issue for parents, school staff and suppliers of food to schools. Recently there has been a major government drive to address these issues in all of the schools in the UK. For the last three years both the Department of Health and Department for Education and Skills have been working on a Food in Schools programme that aims to help schools implement a whole school approach to food education and healthy eating. This seminar will address those issues and act as the underpinning knowledge for the ABC Awards Level 1 qualification Providing a Healthier School Meals Service.
