This event Will Be of Interest To

Teachers developing inclusion
Learning mentors
All those with an interest in improving attendance and the learning environment

About This event
Despite making a huge investment in measures to improve truancy the government admits that, statistically, there has been no discernible improvement in attendance over the last decade. However, the management of attendance, in many schools, has improved and consequently the quality of learning. In the light of this, therefore, this event cannot claim to offer a panacea for attendance problems. What it can do, however, is offer professionals working in the field of attendance an opportunity to, examine the problems that face them and discuss a variety of measures that may, in part, contribute to whole school strategies and improvement

The benefits of attending
  • To examine and identify different attendance issues
  • To explore new ideas and evaluate whole school approaches to attendance
