3 Steps to becoming a CENTRA Training Associate
STEP 1
Consider the following
  • Do you want to be part of one of the countries oldest Education and Training enterprises?
  • Is your CV up to date and does it give the real picture of all your skills and abilities, rather than just a list of the jobs you've had?
  • Are you happy working with practitioners, offering and sharing real help and guidance?
  • Do you have a creative, practical, pragmatic and interactive approach to your teaching subjects and to learners?
  • Are you up to date in your knowledge and skills or are you still dealing in material a generation old?
  • Are you prepared to be challenged about your knowledge and skills?
  • Are you willing to travel and be away from home if necessary?
  • Are you organised and methodical in your dealings with others?
  • Can you be available at short notice?
  • Are you comfortable with small learner groups and large audiences?
  • Can you make professional learning fun?
  • Are you convinced there is a market for what you can offer CENTRA?
If the answer to these questions is a resounding yes, then move to STEP 2.

STEP 2
Send us a copy of your CV with covering letter or email that describes what you could bring to CENTRA and how we might use you.
Offer as wide a range of abilities as you can.

STEP 3
Be prepared for an interview here at CENTRA in Chorley, Lancashire. We'll review your profile and be back in touch within 5 working days.
Remember, your application to become a TA may not mean there is work immediately. Your details will go into our dedicated database showing that you are ready to work with us. You are not employed by CENTRA. There are no charges for this service.
You may propose work for us to undertake of course and we are happy to negotiate with you to deliver sessions in your areas of expertise, however we need to be assured that there is a market for that expertise. As a charity we need to cover our costs with a minimum of 6 attendees at Seminars and Network events.
In conclusion, being a TA means that you get access to help to deliver quality training and if you feel the need to discuss your own professional development, we are happy to make time for you.
