From The A6 and car parking at CENTRA

From Manchester and the East

Leave the M61 at Junction 6 and shortly afterwards take the A6 towards Chorley. One mile after passing through Adlington, turn left at the second set of traffic lights into Wigan lane, A5106 (signposted Standish, Wigan). *In 200 yards, turn right onto Duxbury Hall Road. Keep left along a single track road for half a mile through Duxbury Park. Pass through a gateway at the sign for Duxbury Park Business Centre, and CENTRA is on the left between the high walls of the courtyard.

From Preston and the North

Leave the M61 at Junction 8, taking the A6 towards Chorley town centre. After half a mile, all traffic is directed on to the town centre bypass (still the A6) which should be followed for approximately one and a half miles through 8 roundabouts: follow signs for the A6, and later, Manchester M61. The route passes Chorley Railway station and the Morrison's superstore on the left. Shortly after passing Morrison's, take the second exit at the next roundabout, still following signs for Manchester A6 (M61). In three quarters of a mile, you will pass the Millers Kitchen pub on the left. In a further half-mile you will reach a set of traffic lights, turn right into Wigan lane, A5106 (signposted Standish, Wigan). Then follow directions as from Manchester.

From East Lancashire

Leave the M65 at Junction 2, which is also M61 Junction 9, and follow M61 southbound for one junction. At Junction 8 leave the M61 and follow directions as 'from Preston and the North'.

From the South and Merseyside

Leave the M6 at Junction 27 and take the A5209 to Standish (just after the motorway there is a dual carriageway ending in a T-junction - turn left). Follow the road into Standish, and at traffic lights in the town centre go straight on (crossroads are off-set) . Carry straight on the B5239 towards Aspull (road is single carriageway under railway bridge). At roundabout, turn left onto the A5106. In another three and a half miles, turn left into Duxbury Hall Road, 200 yards before the traffic lights at the A6 junction. Then follow directions as from Manchester.

Directions By Rail

The mainline stations at Wigan (8 miles) and Preston (12 miles) are on the Intercity London to Scotland route. The local station at Chorley (2 miles) connects with Manchester, Bolton, Preston and Blackpool.

Taxis are usually available outside the station at Chorley.
