Pregnancy test question! I'm confused...
Question: Hi, I just took an early pregnancy test as my period is late by more than a week now. The test has a result window where a blue line should appear if it is positive. But the entire window is a light blue after I took the test. And when I see it from a side angle, I see a dark blue line below the control line and the result window. I'm really confused. Has this happened to anyone before? And what do u think it is...

The colour of the whole window will go a light blue colour as that shows the wee moving across the screens. That bit is perfectly normal. If there is a line in both of the windows, but it is faint, or you can only see it from an angle, then wait a couple of days and do another. You should always test first thing in the morning as you have more HCG in your wee (which is the hormone the test will test for), and if you still aren't sure then go to your GP. I did about 8 tests when I got pregnant last time and still went to see my doctor! Good luck, and I hope you get the result you want, x
Yeah it was damaged. You shouldn't have ANY lines before you use it. The windows will start off blank. I wouldn't use it or trust the results.

Yes you can. The tests that you take at home usually require a smaller amount of hcg in your urine than the tests at the doctors office. The at home tests usually require between 25 and 100 micoliters of hcg in your urine, but the doctors office usually require over 100 microliters of hcg in your urine. If you didn't already, i would take the test with the morning's first pee, try testing again tomorrow.
A purple cap leads me to think 'Equate' brand. But let me ask you this...was one line horizontal and one line vertical? Or were they both vertical? If it's the Equate brand you'd need to see a + in the test window for a positive. A horizontal line means nothing. *************** Edited to add after your answer ***************** OK if there is a horizontal and a vertical and you do NOT have two verticals (i.e. + and | ) then you're not pregnant.
