How do you describe being hit be a car?
Question: Okay I'm writing this story and this five year old girl runs into the road and gets hit by a car. I just want ideas on how to describe her getting hit by the car or you can write your own sentence or anything that may help. Thanks to those who contribute. I should of also added its from the five year old point of view what I've basically written was " I finally reached the end of the woods. I dashed into the road when ..." Then the girl finds herself in a hospital. The girl was in the woods because her mom and her were in a car when something suddely hit it anyways they ended in the woods but her mom died.

If you write it from her point of view, you could say that suddenly she was flying through the air. If you write it from someone else's point of view, you could say that they saw the car coming towards her, everything seemed to slow down, and then the car hit her. If you write it from the driver's point of view, you could say that one moment the road was clear, the next moment a little girl was right in front of the car. Or you could just describe the scene from outside, saying the car was heading towards her, the driver braked and swerved, but the car skidded and plowed right into her. EDIT - I was hit by a car once. I saw it coming, and thought it would stop. Then I really don't remember being hit, but I do remember flying through the air afterwards, and knowing that I was badly hurt.
Originally it was a village built around the gold. Thousands of years ago, the first temple, built from gold, was finished, to worship the Sun God, Sulei. Due to the large amount of gold, and how easy it was to get to, local priests had decided that the area was sacred to the Sun God, meaning that the trade and the mining of the gold was stopped for a while. The temple, an incredibly large building, attracted many worshippers, and nearby people built homes of wood and stone a short distance away, taking care not to disturb Sulei or the sacred ground, but taking income from pilgrims and worshippers. Eventually, two more temples were dedicated there, one to the God of Travellers, and one to the God of the Forest. It was famous. Soon, a flourishing trade was built around the temple. Due to the food and produce needed, shop owners set up shop, and the arable land surrounding Moraina (literally Gold Mountain, in the language). 200 years after the temple was founded, it was famous and was a thriving town. Head priests lived there, and as more temples were dedicated to the King of the Gods, and many others to support the population. was for higher up gods, for the the Head Priests, the Suleian Seer (a woman claiming to see the future by looking into gold) and so on. Silver was used to house priests enmasse, trainee priests and for less important gods. When the Mouri Empire was ended, after battle after battle, leading into a long collapse, where a new country state was formed (which Moraina was part of), the worship of Sun Gods fell. Worshippers of past Gods were routinely rounded up, often suffering public execution, or at the very least they would be imprisoned. The temples and silver buildings were kept.. Silver buildings were used as museums, old hospitals, and the gold building, previously for the king of the Gods, was made into a university. New buildings were built on the previously sacred ground. The country was barbaric but educated, with contempt of the old religion and for differing religions to its monotheistic belief, but also placing a value on education where most children could go to free schools, and where medical knowledge stretched the boundaries. Students from many other countries and towns would go to the university. Due to the gold being seen purely as valuable, not as sacred, mining restarted, with gold, coal, stone and silver being traded with other countries, in exchange for protection against the battling countries, as well as food and wood. Poor people built their homes in the lower parts of the city, using shacks made of bits of wood and the remains of the houses from hundreds of years ago (which were only in southern/non sacred parts then), where they lived in tiny houses and had large families, doing the cooking and manual work, but children could get limited education. The country has an Emperor, with a king being the ruler of each city. Kings passed through inheritance, and if there was no one to inherit, the Emperor would choose a suitable ruler originating from the city himself, but this was rare. The university diminishes however, as the world catches up. In the past it was unique and progressive, but now, however, it hasn't got far. Intelligent people would travel to other cities to learn from better universities which develop more, and the university was closed, instead being used to how an Observatory, with the domed top perfect for the study of the night stars. As the university was closed, less people were fully educated, and the value placed on schooling diminished, with only the very promising or the rich being involved in science, working as doctors at the hospital, or studying astronomy and physics within the Observatory. To keep up with the world scientifically however, much of the natural resources, such as the gold, are invested in the latest technologies. These surround telescopes and astronomical objects, but also technology of a more practical use- technology within medicine has a lot of money spent in, resulting in a good hospital with good healthcare, and a heavy focus on farming means that the surrounding lands have a lot of investment in newmethods of farming using ploughs, tractors and technology.
Edit: I then felt an incredible pain as i felt the shards of glass rip through my skull and torso. I woke later in the hospital in a hard cast....I was in that painful position until I finally healed and went home knowing to look both ways before I cross the street!
You could be a squirrel because they're very smart. They remember where their home is even if they've traveled far from it, and they hide fake nuts to fool thieves. They lack common sense because they tend to run out in the street when cars come and in the morning they're all I here outside my window... I don't know what I'd be... I'll think about it.
ok so i think you should start with her viewpoint like she's chasing something or wanting to pick something up. for the car, you dont need to put too much detail in it because i mean shes too young to understand whats happening. maybe just put 'something hard smashed into her and she could feel herself being lifted into the air before collapsing on to the concrete.'or something like that. please use your own ideas. copyrights Hope this helps :)
