There is a link on the sign in page for creating an account too. Choose all details carefully. Use a very strong password (a mixture of letters, capitals, punctuation, symbols, numbers - the longer the better, at least 12-14 characters.) Start with a sentence, and make many substitutions. Be sure the result is one you can remember! Also, select Secret Questions (and answers) that nobody could guess. (Yahoo even allows you to invent your own Secret Questions!) Set up an alternate e-mail address as well, just in case you forget your password. Yahoo usually suggests you have an alternate e-mail address that is NOT from Yahoo for password and account recovery and security. (These also need to be signed in regularly, or they will go dormant from inactivity and be closed.) i would just be sure its not a housemate. look at the SENT TIMES and see if a pattern emerges. SPAMMERS and HACKERS usually send AUTOMATED emails by the bucket load. That message is both a fake and an outright fraud. Don't give the phishers any of your personal information at all. Spam that scam message straight into oblivion right away. This is one lottery you'll never win because it's "bogus." Another thing, the phishers telling you to "keep this lottery information confidential" would indicate to you not to say anything about this to anybody until they have finished scamming you.
