Xbox360 or PS3 (plz owners off both only)?
Question: Ok so Ive been wondering which gaming system is better, the PS3 or Xbox360? Now I honestly only want a opinion from a owner of both, if possible could you include the types of games you play, which you play more, which you use for the use of movies (blu ray - hd dvd) and any other type of input would be great. I just seem to find it a hard decision of which to get still even since they have both been out for a while. Also please do not inclue the Wii, I own one and I already know about them and I only want the pros and cons of the PS3 and Xbox360 Ps- I will most likely not consider your answer if you do not own both consoles. I own both and my call is that are BOTH just as good... for PS3 I own: Madden 2007 Need For Speed: Carbon Resistance: Fall of Man Spider-Man 3 For Xbox 360 I own: Madden 2006 & 2007 NBA Live NBA 2K6 & 2K7 Fight Night Round 3 Sonic: The Hedgehog PGR Tomb Raider As far as graphics and everything goes, I guess PS3 gets the slight edge cause I am partial to Blu-ray. 360 has better games, with the exception of Resistance: Fall of Man for the PS3 which is one of the BEST games I have played in a while as far as RPG's and shooters go. Because there are MORE people who own the slightly older 360, you'll find MORE people to face in on-line play for 360. Also, Halo 3 is coming out... and you can only get it on 360... But, there is Resistance: Fall of Man, and a sequel to that coming out... but Halo is SO bad azz... PS3's controllers DONT need batteries, they have a lithium cell inside that you charge like a cell phone and wireless is standard... 360 wireless is NOT standard, you have to pay $60 per controler... and you also need to pick up a charger and rechargeable AA batteries... so, your looking at about $130.00 for 2 wireless controlers and the re-chargeables. You NEVER need to touch the PS3... if you wave your finger above the power and eject "buttons", it does it for you... Also, the PS3 combo remote is better, but unlike the 360 does NOTHING with Microsoft or windows...
Because PC owners are sheep. Someone said something that was different from what they were used to and it scared them. And rather than taking a look at a bigger and better picture they lash out... After wasting 20+ years constantly troubleshooting PC problems, I switched to Macs 7 years ago and would never DREAM of going back. It's been great not having a single issue over the last 7 years. Mac users are typically very passionate about their wonderful systems because most have been burned by Windows for far far far too long and they're completely amazed that there is actually a system that "just works". Just to make the sheep more irate... I'll expound upon that.... The secret is in the sauce... OSX. This is the most stable, user friendly, secure and intuitive operating system on the market. In 7 years of running OSX and upgrading as each new release has come out, I have never had one single system crash, no viruses, no spyware/malware, and have not needed one single extra application constantly running in the background to help protect me from these things. Also, OSX is actually written to optimize your system resources and not be a bloated turd like Windows. True story: my wife refuses to use her 1 year old Dell desktop because it is such a dog... instead I can hardly ever get on my 7 year old PowerMac because it consistently outperforms her PC in every single application. Another reason to buy a Mac? Their customer service is the best in the industry. I used to work for one of the biggest PC makers and 1 day after your warranty is up and you are dirt to them. 3 years after my extended warranty was up (mind you this was in the 6th year of my Macs life) I had a hardware failure... my local Apple Store fixed it for me for free! Try getting that level of service out of any other name in the business... I can already tell you that you won't. Another reason... their stuff just works! It was so amazing going from 20+ years of constantly troubleshooting and fixing PC problems to having a completely hassle free system that I actually get to work on and not work inside of. Don't let anyone say that there's not a lot of software, this is not true. Maybe over 10 years ago it was... not so anymore. Every application of my wife's 1 year old Dell runs leaps and bounds better on my 7 year old Mac. Everything I could do and needed to do daily on my PC I was able to do better, faster, and in much fewer steps on my Mac. Apple is all about the user experience, this truth is evident right down to the packaging of their products. They're excited about their products and they want their users to be excited as well. They consistently produce premium products... unfortunately they're at a premium price. But for the extra money you get all the things I've already mentioned. Personally, my time is worth the extra money for me to not be hassled by ridiculous PC problems. Look at it this way... an Apple is a finely tuned European sports car engineered for performance... and a PC (dell, ibm, compaq, hp...) is a Chevy Aveo.
ive got both. blu-ray is much better than hd dvd. ive got 14 blu-ray movies, 0 hd dvd. there just are no good movies out for hd dvd and it is a losing, dying format. ive got Resistance, Madden, The Show, Oblivion for PS3. Ive got a ton of 360 games, Oblivion included. PS3 is superior graphically. 360 has better games. PS3 is getting a ton of new games for the year. Go PS3.
Because this is a big decision and expensive im not going to be byist at all so im going to state some simple ups and downs and then i will state my own opinion about what you should get after, but i hope you'll decide for yourself. I have all the modern gen systems and know a great deal on the inner workings, the rumors and the facts about them. So here is some comparisons. ps3 has a maximum of 1080p resolution... 360 has a maximum 1080p resolution. ps3 has a 7.2% failure rate... 360 has a 63.6% falure rate. ps3 has many amazing exclusive titles but are based on francise from ps2... 360 has origionals. ps3 has the most capabilities other then game a game playing console... 360 has the least ps3 has the least exclusive games... 360 has the most Thats all for comparision im going to do for now but no ill show you some facts on each. PS3: positives: can get up to 720gb 2.5" HDD has the verry useful at times sixaxis up to 7 blutooth controller support with 4 usb slots free online forever is THE super-computing console (9 cores per processor with 4 processors) negatives: has the least exclusives on a modern gen console cant go on msn (that is if you havent found the ONLY web based messanger that works and most people dont know about) cant listen to music stored on the console while playing a game (just a pet peve of mine) 360: positives: elites are now extreamly cheap and comes with 2 good games many exclusive games to the console can listen to music stored on the console while playing games windows live messanger, facebooking, and twitter is still THE number one selling console for the last almost 4 years straight negatives: expensive online very little to do other then gamming itself simply does not keep up with the playstations powerhouse inners Now that those are stated theres only 1 more thing to get straight, the rumors for both consoles. Rumors: ps3 has better graphics... wrong they are at par and have been since the new xbox experience release xbox has more ppl on its online player base... somewhat true but xbox users have been creating countless numbers of fake acounts to get free online when ps3s is simply already free ps3 has no good games... just not true at all since 2009 rolled around its been growing more powerful game and francise bases xbox's will kick the bucket in a moth or 2... not true at all ive had my same on for a year now and i have had no problems at all. Now theres some facts and things for you to think over to help you decide for your self. I'll leave you with my opinion now, ps3 is alot better to get becasue you arent worried at all about it over heating and now that the franchises got back up theres also no need to worry about no games. Plus its the system for local multyplaying and online multiplaying. Get it if you want, I recomend it.
