Cant access Skyrim Nexus?
Question: When I click the page i get this This web page is not available The web page at http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/ might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address. Error 137 (net::ERR_NAME_RESOLUTION_FAILED): Unknown error. My friends can access the site why cant I!!! I cant acces my nexus mod manager either and I insist that anyone else who cant acces the site dont update the Nexus mod manager or it will ask you to sign in (which isn't possible at the moment) and you wont b able to enable or disable any mods.

It's a DNS resolution error, DNS replication spreads through lookup servers around the world like new route information on a network. It can take a while to update it, the servers for Nexus I'm sure are in England. They just updated their domains and such. Anyway... FIX: Wait 24 hours or so, your ISP's stuff will update soon enough. OR: Change your DNS server to one that's better/already updated. You obtain your DNS from your ISP automatically you can change it back to that when you're done. Windows 7: Go to Start, Control Panel, Network and Sharing Center, "Change Adapter Settings". Double click "Local Area Connection" click properties. Click "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)" and click properties again. Click radio button "Use the following DNS server address" Type in "Preferred DNS server "184.108.40.206" minus quotes obviously. Click ok and then ok again and then close. Tomorrow at some point repeat this and choose "Obtain DNS automatically" to return to your ISP's dns. If you want. I'm able to open and read the Nexus website, but can't log into NMM because it can't resolve (or connect to) the server name. Seems to be the DNS just needs to be updated with ISPs. It'll happen automatically but it'll take a short while. A Chromebook is basically a laptop that only runs the Chrome browser, you can do a lot with it like use Google Play and use apps from the Chrome Web Store, and Google Docs. I think you can buy a Bluetooth or detachable keyboard for the Nexus 7, but then that is an extra cost (probably around $50, but a bit less). The Chromebook is based on a version of Linux modified by Google that runs everything in the Chrome browser, and the tablet is an Android device if that makes a difference. Personally I would probably go for the tablet (it seems to be a bit more fashionable and it's more portable), but then I have a laptop already so I would use that for doing work and probably use the tablet for entertainment purposes, a Chromebook is probably more practical for using Google Docs and doing work than the tablet, which I see as more for playing games and convenient web browsing. You can't install third party applications like Microsoft Word or other programs made for Windows on a Chromebook, which would make me prefer a Windows laptop. By a third party laptop that would mean one not from Google like a Windows or Apple laptop (you said you don't want one of those though). I don't think you would get much of a laptop for $25 but you could probably get a reconditioned Windows laptop from a reputable supplier (I might be cautious about sites like Ebay) with a guarantee for a similar price to a Chromebook, just out of interest.
I cant access skyrim nexus as well. I also tried to access it by typing the IP address, but it still gives me an error. However, NMM works just fine, I was able to update to 0.14.1, log in, and even see the latest version for all of my mods. Preferred should be 18.104.22.168 and alternate 22.214.171.124
That is horrible. Really bad luck. I have been in hundreds of homes as I use to do C-band satellite installation and repair. Now I make house calls as I am a computer technician and do computer repair. I Have yet to see a house that didn't have a lot of dust. You may have had a great large power surge. I know lightning can send thousands of volts surge through the power lines. And that does a lot of damage to electrical equipment, and electronics.
