How to take a screen shot on laptop?
Question: well i think i have the blue screen of death so i have to get on safe mode to get on the internet and stuff.but i wanna take a screen shot of the blue screen that pops up before my laptop shuts down.I pressed the print screen button when the blue death screen popped up but i don't know where to find it or if i even took it? it windows 7 acer aspire 5516

When you have the blue screen of death, you cannot take a screen shot. You can only take a screen shot when your computer is working. To take a screen shot (when your computer is working), find the button that says PtrSc and SysRq. Also find your 'function' key (this is labeled 'fn' on the bottom left side of your keyboard). Press and hold the 'fn' key, and press the PtrSc key. This should take a screen shot.
print screen is next to the scroll lock button. It is on the top column and its after the f12 button after you press it just right click and paste it in applications such as microsoft word, paint or any other program that allows you to paste images. You have to hold the control butto before pressing print scrn
