Question: I'm taking classes, recent poll on ABC shows one in 1 in 3 college-graduates have no job. 1 in 4 earn basic-type stuff like retail or taxi-driver positions...that means a lot of us are all going to be poor. ____ Your advice?

Don't rely solely on your education. It's the EXTRA characteristics like integrity and a strong work ethic that you bring to a job that will determine whether you get the job... or the next guy. Determine what makes YOU unique and make sure your potential employer knows about it.
Interesting dream. From what I've read, It seems as if you are having a bit of a life crisis. Maybe your life is changing in a way that you aren't quite ready for. You seem to feeling out of control. You feel the momentum of life is too much and that the only thing you can do is watch. It also seems that you feel indifferent; you are noticing things wrong with life/society that most people don't. You're not quite a shepherd, not quite a sheep. You are anticipating something bad will happen, but it doesn't have to be bad. Just relax and re-asses your options at this crossroad to regain control.
as long as there is an over abundance of college graduates in such areas as minority studies. gender studies, gay and lesbian studies and such even sociology where the only demand for education in those diverse fields is teaching them to another generation, those graduates will find themselves flipping burgers provides they also have language skills in other than english. Math, science, and engineering majors have proven that can achieve skills in diverse areas and will be in demand. There are many jobs that require learned technical skills that do not require a college education. Many of them are labor intensive and many people believe that they shouldn't lower themselves to actually work in an area like automotive technician or in any other area outside of their college education. What is pitiful is that many people have accumulated massive debt to acquire a soft degree and are now in a position of not being able to repay that educational loan. There is a low demand for people with a masters degree in gay and lesbian studies.
The people that believe those things have blinders. Those little kids had the right to "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness," but some of the gun-loons at the NRA believe that the Second Amendment trumps that basic right. It's just a deflection of attention from a resolvable problem. Psychologists call it "rationalization;" trying to justify an action or statement with a totally-unrelated action or statement. That Newtown atrocity had nothing to do with that New York ferry accident. No one with two brain cells rubbing together would buy that type of argument.
I have a college degree and I don't have a job, neither does my husband.. So, that is 2 out of 3. maybe the odds are in your favor.
You need to chill out because what you're doing isn't the right thing to do. You're being WAY too paranoid. Do you have a cordless phone in your house or a cell phone? If so, figure out hw to use the speed dial and program in the number for animal control. If you do see a panther in the area you can call them. You can also call 911. This panther-like creature, I'm sad to say, is most likely someones illegally kept pet which has escaped. It may have been abused by it's owner and now has a fear/hate of humans which is why it's acting out like this, that is if it isn't just an urban legend. Also, the likelyhood of it actually approaching and breaking into your house is very very slim. It probably avoids human houses and only attacks humans it comes across outdoors. Be sure that you don't have a food or water source close to your home. Any dog or cat food needs to be kept inside and any meat products that you throw away should be thrown out within 2 hours of the trash men picking it up. If you don't have trash service to your home (seeing as you are in a rural area) avoid discarding any meat products what-so-ever. Be sure to eat it all. This will help to prevent any chance of it coming anywhere close to your home. Avoid being outside alone at night and if you do go out in the daytime, try and make sure you're in an enclosed vehicle or in a public area, such as a store or main street of a nearby town. The people it has attacked were attacked because they were perceived as threats or as food. They most likely wandered out alone. You should be safe indoors.
