Question: Most of the questions on Yahoo! Answers could be answered quickly and accurately by doing a web search. I usually find the answer in the first 30 seconds.

The fact is, a large percentage of askers wouldn't know the first thing about using a search engine. The most basic function of the internet even existing and people aint got a clue how to use it. Of course if it were up to me, you would require a basic computer and internet course before you were allowed to even touch a computer. Unbelievable how many problems people have and the fact is, a computer is only as smart as the person operating it. 95% of the problems people have with their PC are caused by themselves. If the average user popped 50 bucks on a computer and internet class, they could literally save thousands of dollars in computer repairs in their lifetimes.
Yeah I like the adult section idea and the Mac section. I have a G4 and a XP and a Vista. I'd like to see more Mac stuff addressed. But you can keep yer steenkin' Linux...I had a Vic20 once, don't need a fancier one! PS Love yer nick!!
I don't know why people come to Yahoo Answers in the first place. The people on Yahoo Answers give insulting answers.
Ok, here goes. Questions can be deleted because they violated a rule here, or were posted in an inappropriate category, but it can also happen if they haven't received any answers in their allotted time (4 or 8 days, depending). If a question was removed as a violation, you should have gotten a violation notice email from Answers, which you can appeal if you believe it was removed incorrectly. If you didn't get a notice, it may just have timed out, and you can't appeal this type of removal. You may be able to figure out if this could be what happened to the questions about Palmacosta and GTA IV. One rule here is that you aren't allowed to ask/answer how to do illegal activities here. This means you can't ask/answer how to steal stuff that you're supposed to pay for (includes torrents and other 'rip-off' sites) - probably explains all of your 'stream' questions - or whether/how to do illegal drugs (the 'bowl' question). If you asked a bunch of the 'stream'-type questions, someone may have misunderstood your sheet-music question. If you were asking where to buy it rather than where to get for free illegally, you should appeal. Or perhaps, it timed out, too. Your 'threesome' question would have been considered 'chat' in any category besides 'Polls&Surveys', and maybe even there. The 'sweatshop' question may have been considered to be a 'rant' rather than a question. Check your email for violation notices - at least you'll know it was a violation, and sometimes they explain why a post was removed. And it's easier to appeal with the VN, if you think it was removed in error. You can also post the complete content of a question here and someone will be able to explain. Hope this helped at least some.
well most people go with google first so they wont lose the 5 points asking a question , but most of the time using gooogle is much easier especially when you know its a common question
