My pc is acting strange what can i do/?
Question: It started acting eird about a month ago,restarting ad stalling, then when i turned on it appeared to br running but the screen would be blank, i had to keep trning off and on about 5 times,until it came back ok, but sometimes it would freeze at the windows xp logo or make it to the normal screen and restart, had it formatted about 3 weeks ago, and it is actind the same, a message came up saying it could be a hardware or software problem but i have not installed any hardware or software it did not have before,also checked for virus and spyware and it is free,about 2 days ago a windows diagnostic message came up saying it was a memory or ram problem, buy i as said earlier i have not added or removed anything,my pc is just over a year old,hp pavillion desktop a1500la,512 ram celeron 3.2GHz, windows xp.I need help since i don't know anything about computers

what diagnostic program? - CHeck for spyware and virues good spyware utility Spybot Search and Destroy (be sure its by www.safer-networking.org the reset is likely spyware its self. if its a legitimate diagnostic program trust it. if its not a spyware/virus problem its very likely hardware. without hardware to swap in and out to test it all you have to trust is the diagnostic. also, carefully re-seat the memory sticks and video card (if youve never been inside a computer then leave the CPU alone.) be sure its off or unplugged after taking the cover off but before reaching inside, touch metal fist (the case works its metal) you dont want static electricity in there it could cause damage
It sounds like a Virus. But since this only happens when you go to Youtube, I'm a bit skeptical. If you don't already have AVG 8.0, you can download it for free at: http://free.avg.com/ After you download it, install it and run a full scan. If there's a virus, AVG shouldn't have a problem removing it. It this doesn't solve your problem, and there's no virus found, you can Email me for more help.
If you can get it booted eventually, one thing that would help us is if you right click my computer > properties > advanced tab > settings button under startup and recovery. Then uncheck automatically restart and hit ok and ok. Turning that off will display the blue screen and an error message instead of automatically restarting your computer. That error message that comes up in the blue screen can be very useful in finding the actual problem. My guess though is that it is probably a bad stick of ram. If re-seating the memory doesn't work, I'd suggest trying a different stick of ram.
I either blame a malicious software on your computer or a program in your system has severely damaged your computer, check if your PC is genuine first of all, send a HijackThis log to a reliable forum, do a Check Disk, clean up your clutter files or scan your system with MalwareBytes Anti-Malware, also, if you play games or update your graphics driver/BIOS alot, then you will receive a noticeable change on your desktop.
With memory issues one thing you can do that is commonly not done is use the disk cleanup utility to compress old and unused files so they take up less space. To disk cleanup click start>all programs>accessories>system tools>disk cleanup. What experience I have with HP computers they tend to freeze up more than others unexplainably. If the problem persists and worst comes to worst you would have to format the drive and reload the operating system for a clean start.
If she recovers from this condition then she is probably cold and trying to hibernate (which can be fatal if not remedied in Central African and Algerian hedgehogs).
