Is it a laptop? If it is, then its pretty good. If its a computer, the processor could be better 2.0GHZ+. Quad core is good. The RAM could be 3GB+

This system is a good middle of the road system. It will allow you to perform most office/school functions such as word processing, spreadsheets etc. Processor is good, but Memory is a little low, especially for this version of Vista, recommend doubling at least, if the motherboard can handle it. Drive size is adequate, but you can always add an external and/or another internal drive. DVD Writer is ok, and the number of USB ports is good, especially if they are distributed around the back and front of the system. If I were to scale it on Windows Experience Index: Processor: 5.4 Memory: 4.5 Graphics: 5.3 Gaming Graphics: 4.9 HDD: 5.2 This is all based on my experience and should be taken with a grain of salt, opinions vary.
That computer is AMAZING! I did a quick check on the Alienware web site, and that computer cost more than $5000. You currently have one of the best CPUs and the best GPUs on the market.
Looks pretty darn good to me. 2 GB is a little low (compared to the rest of the specs) but it's not significantly off.
He will be seriously disappointed if he tries to play World of Warcraft on that laptop. It has no graphics horsepower but it would suffice for doing everyday things. I would take Ryan's suggestion on the computer from Newegg because it has a graphics chip capable of handling games. Don't listen to the first 3 people on here.
