Question: Recently my mother was using her PC and it turned off itself, then when it was turned on again, xp didn't boot and it showed this message: Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt : \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM. I read that i should use windows recovery, so i inserted the recovery disc and it started running but after a while of being loading recovery files, the computer restarts itself and it never shows the windows recovery menu screen. Well, i thought that maybe by formatting the HD i could start from scratch, so i did it and ran the windows setup disc, but the same problem keeps happening, it either restarts itself before installing anything or i get a blue screen or i get a corrupted file message (it's not the disc since i've already used two different discs). What could be wrong? What could I do to repair it?
